Emily the Strange - Better Alone Black T-Shirt MD
Caustic wisdom. The Better Alone Black T-Shirt from Emily the Strange features a vine framed graphic, with the words "Better To Be Alone & In Bad Company" in a variety of fonts in the centre. Throughout the letters, there are images of black cats, a skull, a moon and a cross-armed and scowling Emily. Red zig-zag stitching runs over the entire graphic. This short-sleeved black t-shirt is 100% cotton. Emily the Strange is a counterculture character created in 1991 by artist and skateboarder Rob Reger for the clothing line Cosmic Debris, based in Santa Cruz, California. Emily is a quiet but sharp-witted 13 year old girl with pale skin and black hair, who hates pink and wears the same black dress every day. Her best friends are her four black cats. Emily the Strange first appeared on a series of stickers promoting Cosmic Debris, but soon became the main focus of the line. She is now seen on all kinds of clothing and accessories, and even in a series of books and graphic novels. Emily is loved by iconoclasts all over the world, who identify with her individualism and dark obsessions.
